CRAZY MONKEY DEFENSE

What started off as a purely martial art based program has now evolved into an integrated program of fitness, strength training, wellness and life coaching. The Crazy Monkey Defense is a 'transformative' martial art program that focuses on life coaching through martial arts practice!

NEW ENROLLMENT IS CLOSED (April 08). If you are interested to join this program we will add you to our waiting list or you can join on a Personal Training basis until an opening is available in the group class. A 6x PTS class is required for all new CMD students.



BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art and combat sport that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting with the goal of gaining a dominant position and using joint-locks and chokeholds to force an opponent to submit. It promotes the principle that a smaller, weaker person using leverage and proper technique can successfully defend themselves against a bigger, stronger assailant. BJJ can be trained for self defense, sport grappling tournaments (gi and no-gi) and mixed martial arts (MMA) competition. Sparring (commonly referred to as 'rolling') and live drilling play a major role in training, and a premium is placed on performance, especially in competition.
